I am so not a neutral lover. I didn't want to get dressed for the longest time today, but I'm going to go to the grocery store in about five minutes and I don't want to appear there looking like I'm nursing a summer cold even though I am. When I'm down I like to dress the part and then my spirit usually catches up with me. To me, neutral says "Beige" and I loathe beige with every fibre of my being. I am not beige! I'm bright and sparkly, dang it! (I'm still on a high from Sparklegasma Day!)
And... my eyes are closed. Thanks so much, boychild, for taking my picture today!
Close-up of the shoes that the boy-child cut off in the photo:
Tank: Calvin Klein
Skirt: Old Navy
Shoes: Old Navy
Skull Watch: Etsy
Everyone should have a pair of jersey shoes. These are so soft and comfortable that I can actually go for walks in them! They don't cut in or cause any blisters and the heel is made of rubber so they're shock-absorbing. They also cost me $1.76 at an actual Old Navy store. I can't thrift for that cheap! When I bought them I hated espadrilles but thought I'd try them at that price and I was pleasantly surprised. One of my greatest shoe triumphs, ever!
That's all,
Twills
XOXO
I think you look great! Your skirt is super cute. And when you feel like crap, dress up!
ReplyDeleteI love neutrals. But I'm usually more of a gray neutral than a beige neutral, though I like both. Hence, I love this outfit!
ReplyDeleteI love grey so, so much. It rivals my love of black but is better in summer than black is so right now it's winning.
ReplyDeleteGreat price on the shoes! The skirt is adorable.
ReplyDeleteNeutrals are so varied: Navy, black, white, grey, brown, beige, cream, olive drab, metallics of all kinds are all neutrals.
Oh and re: All Saints white dress - I have said it a dozen times, but not sure if I ever said it on my blog. I wish that dress had been made before I got married. I would have worn it to the courthouse and in a ceremony. It's way more special feeling to me than my actual wedding dress. Fits better too. Unfortunately, the design wasn't even on my radar until 3 years later.
ReplyDeleteOh and my wedding dress only cost me $30 than the All Saints one. Go fig.
I've been searching eBay for a dress like yours ever since I first saw you wear it on your blog. No luck so far!
